What advice would you give to people looking to start a business and train in Digital Marketing?

Post by rabiakhatun785 »

I started working with properties and started my first company in London in 2017 with a partner. After that, I was certainly looking for something more meaningful in my life and reconnected with a friend who had a project called Wowness Club .

Wowness Club is a community, a digital platform, and a directory of therapists in the field of health and wellness, where people can find alternative therapies. Last year, I spent the entire year in Mexico developing this platform with my partner Maira.

There came a time when we realized we were spending too much time on technology and lacking in marketing. So, we changed our strategy slightly at the end of last year and said: now it's time to specialize.

I had experience in communications, but I was lacking something more. That's why this Master's degree was ideal. My project was about Wowness argentina mobile database Club, and we're now in this new phase of business restructuring. We're based in the United Kingdom and Brazil, fully focused on making people aware of the platform and finding their therapists there.

How has the Master's degree helped you, firstly, with your ventures and, secondly, with coping? Because I understand that it's a very challenging task to start a new business several times over, and on top of that, to complement it with demanding training.
Yes, this was a challenge. Balancing the production of the Master's degree with work and life wasn't easy. I had time to organize myself, exercise, work, and study. If I had other responsibilities, it would be more difficult. One thing I would change would be to dedicate more hours from the beginning. I dedicated myself a lot to work, and in the end, I had to put work aside a bit to focus more on the Master's degree. It was tough but incredible because it opened my mind to many new things. I faced many challenges in class because I had never studied in Spanish. So I learned a lot of vocabulary, language, and even digital marketing. The Master's degree gave me a background and knowledge that I highly recommend; it was incredible.

First, time management. It's key to balancing your homework and studies. It's also important to apply and put what you've learned into practice. This Master's degree is very practical; you'll end up completing a project for your business.

Another thing is finding time to study, because, ultimately, the master's degree isn't just about doing it and leaving it there; it's about putting what you've learned into practice. This master's degree is very, very practical; it's not just about studying. You have to create a project based on your business. And if you have a business, this master's degree is perfect, because every activity and project in each subject is related to your company.

Now, upon completion, I have the entire Marketing and Business Plan for the next year: 12 months, with goals every three, six, and nine months. This includes progress, both financially and in terms of the return on the traffic I started generating. I can also set specific targets related to these goals.

Another tip is that if you have a project, do it alongside the Master's degree. While I was doing the activities, I knew I was working at the same time. I dedicated many hours to Wowness Club during the Master's degree because the activities were related. I did things that, perhaps, I wouldn't have done otherwise just for my company.
