At Ruralzoom we have several departments and we have more partners (5 in total), and together with us collaborates a team with more than 15 professionals involved , to serve both each client and the platform itself.
In the specific case of Sara and me, we are perhaps the most versatile , where our work ranges from the commercial area to the training and talks area, passing through design, development, research, management, marketing, billing, and of course customer service, ultimately devoting 100% of our time and work to and for Ruralzoom.com.
Which areas of digital marketing have been most effective in promoting the project and generating bookings? Which ones have you invested the most in?
SEO, SEM, email marketing and social media positioning have been the 4 pillars that we have used to date in our marketing strategy . We have panama mobile database also carried out blended marketing actions , interspersing them with traditional marketing in the press, on the radio and we have even carried out some actions on television, although basically all our efforts are oriented towards digital marketing , where we are studying new alternatives to add shortly (such as lead and retargeting systems , among others).
You've completed the Postgraduate Course in Search Engine Marketing and Online Web Analytics (Fernando) and the Advanced Technical Course in Online Social Media Strategist (Sara) at IM. Why did you choose these areas, and what knowledge you learned during your training at IM has been most useful for the project?
Within Ruralzoom.com and within the two most versatile (or multitasking) positions, Sara has specialized in the management of our social networks, while in my case I have focused more on positioning and analysis strategies , where all of this has been self-taught up to now, through trial and error, until consolidating an effective strategy, which we are perfecting and applying more professionalized actions through these studies in IM (and others that we are taking simultaneously).
What advantages do you see in online training?
Among the many advantages of online training, we highlight the allocation and distribution of the limited time available to our liking and needs in order to carry it out in an optimized way , since having little time we cannot be subject to a fixed schedule for training, therefore this ease when it comes to self-management for us is undoubtedly one of the most outstanding advantages of online training in general and IM training in particular, where its intuitive and well-detailed control panel helps a lot in such work.
You're in a very competitive sector, especially in terms of keywords and social ads. How do you manage to beat the competition?
It's no secret that there's a lot of competition in this sector, but not all of it is professionalized. There are only five or six platforms that garner the most attention and, in turn, have significant financial leverage to invest in marketing. At Ruralzoom.com, with absolutely humble beginnings and without any help (quite the contrary, with adversities of all kinds), we've managed to position ourselves in the sector, receiving an average of 2,000 unique visits per day, generating more than 10 million visits to our clients' businesses and making more than 300,000 booking requests annually . This figure isn't bad at all. We're currently implementing significant implementations to exponentially increase the number of visits in the short and medium term. To achieve this, we've sought out our market niche and differentiate ourselves from those five or six platforms , exploiting the best options, both in terms of time and form.
