Invitation to the big Moscow WordPress developers meetup

You were at the origins of organizing WordPress meetups in Moscow and this meetup should have the number #65. Why did the numbering get messed up and what else has changed during this time?
Well, not exactly, in 2013 I first attended a meetup organized by Konstantin Kovshenin. It was a mind-blowing experience: interesting people, cool topics, an opportunity to ask questions or tell something yourself. Kostya charged me with his energy and motivated me. I attended every meetup, and somewhere around the 4th meeting I gave a talk about portfolio sites. The talk was cool and Kostya invited me to speak at WordCamp Russia 2013, the first WordCamp in Russia. So 6 years passed, I gave talks at meetups and was a speaker at every WordCamp in Moscow. So to speak, an active member of the community, but I almost never participated in the organization. In the summer of 2017, the last meetup took place and there was a lull.
The baton was continued by Denis Yanchevsky , he organized the official WordPress Krasnogorsk group, and after a few meetings, the meetups moved to Moscow and WordPress Moscow appeared on meetup.com . Since whatsapp number list WordPress Moscow was a derivative of WordPress Krasnogorsk, and not the previous 45 meetups, we started numbering from 1. Somewhere around the third meeting, I offered my help and began to participate in organizing meetups. At that time, I did not have global goals, I liked the party and wanted to contribute to the preparation of events. Before the pandemic, we shared organizational responsibilities 50/50. During the pandemic, there was a forced lull with rare online meetings, and in the “new season” I am already organizing meetups myself.
— What does participation in meetups give to listeners, speakers and volunteers? How to get the most out of attending ?
Everyone can find something useful for themselves in meetups. For beginners, this is an opportunity to ask questions, get help, and see the directions and paths of development using real examples. For experienced developers, it is an opportunity to find like-minded people, partners, contractors, or new orders. For speakers, it is an opportunity to “materialize” their knowledge and skills, check their relevance, obtain expert status, earn “social points,” plus a meetup is a good platform for practicing public speaking skills, there is a loyal audience and there are no inflated requirements like at large conferences.
