It can help to write down the steps. Even though a Reel may seem short, sometimes quite complicated things happen for which smart preparation is key . A short step-by-step plan can be very useful. For example, it could look like this:
Shot 1: Walk into frame and hold hand up, snap hand.
Shot 2: Snap with hand, different outfit, look surprised. Then go with hand over camera lens to the beat.
Shot 3: Hand moves away from camera lens, hair is loose. Smile. Hand up, cut to the beat.
Shot 4: Snap hand, hat appears on head. Look happy. Walk out of frame.

Set your timer (either 3 seconds or 10 seconds) to give yourself some time before recording starts.
If necessary, adjust a filter.
If necessary, adjust the speed (this is where you determine whether your video goes in slow motion or speeds up).
Trim each clip if you want and add text over it if you want.

Making Reels seems so easy, because they are so short. You might be surprised how much time and precision it takes to get a Reel right. My biggest advice is to keep practicing.
