Here's how to set up HubSpot live chat

In recent years, web chat has been increasingly introduced to corporate websites and online shops, and demand is growing as a tool that is expected to improve business efficiency and customer satisfaction.

The integrated business platform "HubSpot" also has a free live chat function, and you can easily set up a live chat without any programming or coding knowledge.
In this article, we will explain the specific steps to set up a live chat while looking at the HubSpot admin screen.

Create a chatflow
First, click on "Conversations" → "Chatflows" from the navigation at the top of the screen.



You'll be taken to a page with all your existing chatflows. If you haven't created any chatflows yet, it will look like the screen below. Click Create chatflow in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

The chat flow will be created and a screen will open where you can customize the details. You can set various settings such as the message content, display timing, and chat avatar selection, but I will introduce them in a separate article in the future.

Preview and publish
Click Preview in the top right to see how your live chat works, then turn on the toggle in the top right to make your live chat live.

Try sending a message
If you open the page you created on HubSpot, you will see that live chat has been added to the bottom right of the screen. Let's try sending a message.

When you send a message, you will immediately receive an automatic reply message. This is because the setting asks for your email address the first time you send a message, but you can freely change the content of this message and whether it is displayed or not.

Let's check the received message on the management screen. From the navigation at the top of the screen, click [Communication] → [Inbox]. Here, you can check the conversation in the web chat, create and send messages, comment on the chat contents within your team, and assign them to the person in charge.
